squealing

I have a 91 jeep cherokee with the inline 6. When I turn on my heater the engine/belt/something!..makes this ungodly squealing noise. My alternaoter/ battery gauge also goes down consiberably??....Any Ideas on what the problem is????

I am not sure but does that have v-belts or a single serpintine belt?
Chances are its a loose belt.
If its under the dash I would check blower motor

i am going to take a wild guess and say its a serpentine. as to the problem, i don't have the slightest clue
