True. I'd love it. As I said, I'm routing for the Sabres.

But the ratings would be terrible because those are 2 very tiny markets. Remember, I didn't say it wouldn't be a good series, I said it could be the least watched finals in some time. And it wouldn't be very good in trying to get hockey back on a real channel like ESPN and off the very horrible OLN network. I want the sport to appeal to the masses to increase my ability to catch a game without having to buy the NHL Center Ice package.

For example, which superbowl would have better veiwership. Atlanta vs. Jacksonville, or New York Giants vs. Oakland? I think we know that the bigger markets are usually the bigger draw, and thus better for ratings.

I dont even get OLN down here. I missed a couple games during the playoffs that werent on Center Ice. I agree it might not have the national attention of big market clubs but the hockey has been great this year. I love the new format.

Hey, my team's gone, but I'm currently watching Edmonton/Anaheim and I'm tellin' ya'.....it's some really good hockey, no matter who wins. Much, much, much better than watching "Olympic" hockey. Can't wait to watch Carolina/Buffalo!!!!!! There's some GREAT hockey to watch!

It sure has!!! The hockey's been awesome! I too love the new format.

The only problem is, the hardcore hockey fans like us will always watch. But it's the fringe fans we need to increase the ratings, and thus get our sport back on prime time NBC, ABC, or CBS!!! Heck, i'd be satisfied with FSN if they'd cover all of the games.
