starter relay in (pdc) question

With in the last 5 months I've replaced the starter, battery and cables on my gals 93yj and I am still having starting problems. All connections are grounded properly and have clean corrosion free sufaces. I've noticed a starter relay in the wiring schematic (Haynes service book) and am curious if this could be the culprit. The only other ideas I have is a bad ignition switch or the rebuilt starter I installed has failed. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated or her baby is going to the Stealership for diagnosis. Is there any way I can sort of jump-start the starter motor (screw driver across the pos/neg terminals on starter) to see if the starter is in fact operating properly. Thanks Frank[addsig]

What is it doing/not doing? I know you're having problems starting, but is it turning over slow? Not turning over? Cranking but slow to fire?[addsig]

When the key is turned to the start position nothing happens, no turning of motor etc. All the lights/accessories are receiving power and functioning properly. after a few times of trying to start it seems as if I get enough juice to start the engine. This problem does not happen all the time but has been happening more frequently.[addsig]

that happened to me after i went muddin last week... I got a high pressure hose and sprated the starter relay... it worked after that... then it did it again... then i jumped it when a wrench and knocked on the connections... haven't had a problem since... i guess the mud hurt my connection[addsig]
