steering box mount

If I convert to power steering on my 79 CJ do I need a new steering box mounting bracket?

No but the 2 piece thing is a piece of crap. I put on a M.O.R.E. bracket when I did mine. It does not flex at all like the old bracket.

Thanks for the advice. Did the MORE mount require any modifications to the cross member or frame, or was it a direct replacement?

It is Almost a direct replacement I think you have to drill one or two More holes in the metal piece that goes between the frame above the box. I have also seen a brace that goes from the box to the right side of the frame to help keep the box from moving.
