Strange Noise

Hi I have a 1997 Wrangler 6 cylinder 4.0L 5 speed, which has an 2 inch lift and 32 inch tires and lately I've been running it in 4 high cause my Universal Joints keep on breaking but i just noticed that whenever i shift up or shift down the transmission or the engine I'm not sure where exactly ,but it makes a strange sound as if my RPM's where low. If anyone has any ideas on what's going on it will be much help thanks.

You are ruining your transfer case by running it in 4hi on dry pavement. That's likely the noise you hear.

I would find out the real cause as to why ujoints keep failing, not ruin the $1000 transfer case in an attempt to save $15 ujoints.

Yea the thing is I'm running out of ideas on why my U-Joints keep on failing so I'm not sure how to fix that problem

Which ujoints?

Often times it is due to a worn yoke. If a ujoint goes bad and is not changed out, it will often woller out the yoke. Then future ujoints fail sooner than they should.

Another reason is due to bad driveline angles or improper install.
