Terraflex rear shackles .....

Hey guys,

So for a while I've had a knocking noise coming from the rear passenger side and I've finally narrowed it down to the terraflex shackle. It's pretty new, i'd say about 8months or so, and well greased up. Are these known to be loud? Any quick cure for this? Technically, does anyone know what causes them to make a knocking noise when rotating?

Thanks in advance,

See the name says it all there a Terra (nothing but head aches)
they prob are rubbing up against something

Thanks. This is my first lift so I'll put this one under the 'noob' stack. Seems like terra gets a pretty bad wrap from what i've read so far. Out of curiosity, who makes a pair a "good shackles"? Doesn't seem like there's much to them but maybe i'm missing something here.

Might want to see if it's hitting the exhaust. Pretty common, I cut mine off so it wouldn't hit. This happens with pretty much any lift shackle.

Ya I'm agree with u every shackle kit I did on any jeep had problem with hitting the exhaust and I would check the bushings on make sure they didn't wore out and grease them up cuz u could have dirt or sand in them I would take them apart and check them out but I go and spend more money on another shackle

Take those terraflexs off before you cant get em off. Ran them on my wrangler and had to cut, beat, cut, cry and pry them off. Any other shackle is good. I also have cut all my jeeps exhaust's off pre axle and turned down and out. Be careful on braking corners with those shackles, they will open up and let your inside back corner lift way up ( Pucker factor).

Don't think he has revolvers just the regular lift shackle.
