The Tub Question????

Does anyone know if you can take a 1975 CJ5 frame and put a 1976 tub on the frame?? Are the sizes generaly the same?? Moving body mounts and shock mounts would be know big deal but if its alot of trouble forget it......

I am not sure but I think a cj5 tub is a cj5 tub! These guys here will know more than me but I think they will enter change just fine. Hope it works out for you Tug[addsig]

From what I have read, AMC did not change the CJ5 until 77 or 78, I think they made things just a bit bigger. 75 & 76 should be the same, but like Tug-n-Pull said, the guys around here should know for sure.



What I would like to know is if a body manufactuer has produced an MB body that will fit on a 78 CJ5 frame... [addsig]

76 was the year they changed the tub. They are basically the same design (funny door frames and no leg room) just minor differences the wheelbases are the same and the mounts should line up but who knows I could be wrong.
