Ticking coming from motor?

I also have the same ticking in my '99 Sport (just turned 100K). Same faint ticking.
HIHOOD...do you mean adding ATF to the Crankcase....?

Follow-up on my Ticking Problem: HiHood suggested adding some Transmission Fluid to my crankcase. I added less than a quart. I swear...that sound is gone...I'm pretty sure it has. Many thanks!!

Just curious where would the noice, tick, etc.. be coming from if it doesnt go away, its there at idle cold or hot and i can hear it while driving.. I thought that would be exhaust leak but no muffler shop can locate it..

Is there any negatives to adding ATF?
would it cause more wear in the long run, my jeep only has 48,000 on it and its a 03 im praying this motor goes alot longer... Would the seafoam be better?
