TJ soft top on a YJ

A friend of mine just gave me her old soft top from a 98 TJ. I have an 89 YJ with a factory hard top. Can I put the TJ top on my YJ and which frame would I buy, TJ or YJ? I have a bikini top for my YJ, so I would really like the windshield rail to stay intact. Any one have any thoughts?

They just don't fit. You might find a way to make it work, but it won't be right.

Sell it and buy one that fits the YJ.

Also check to see if your city has a CRAIGS LIST, its a great website source for free ads....... I have bought & sold cars there for a few years now, as well as found housing, roommates, bikes.......
