Hi yall,second time here, posted further down about trans or transfercase noise,if I swap out the d-300,what other transfercase is a direct swap? thanks again.Jeeps+Mud=Fun.

A Dana 300 is a direct swap

but there are 2 different ones. The '80-'81's are shorter(the rear output) then the '82-'86.[addsig]

Why are you swapping out the 300? It's a far better x-case than most.[addsig]

The D300 becomes a big POS after you add stuff like the tera low kit to it

Nothing else will be a direct swap unless you put in another 300, an atlas ii might be a simple swap because you can order it with the input shaft you want. Advance Adaptors should be able to sell you an adaptor for your application
