I was going fishing last week down the shore and on the park way I noticed smoke coming from my jeep. I looked under it and my transmission was leaking on my exhaust. I turned around to go back home and I noticed it stopped smoking. It was weird like if I went over 70mph it would leak and if I stayed at 60-65mph it was fine? Has anyone had this happened? Is there a vent that could clog? Could I have ben pushing this Piece of s*&% 3 spedd transmission to much? :-? [addsig]

I have a 95 4cyl with auto transmission. That used to happen to mine when I drove on a long road at 65 to 70mph. Aamco has rebuilt the transmission twice so I took it to them and they told me to go to Corpus Christi another way. It would happen on a particular road. I changed the fluid, made sure it was not overfilled and cleaned out the transmission cooler. It hasnt overflowed since. The manual says the vent could be clogged but I have never found a vent. Cracked the pressure line recently. Made a new connection with a brake line and a quick connect and I threw out the check valve. Have not had any further problems with it. Dont know if thats of any help[addsig]

Just got home from the lake and when I opened the garage door there was a big puddle of transmission fluid underneath the Jeep. Looks like it might be coming from between the transfercase and transmission. Any ideas? I haven't looked at it real close yet but am getting ready to. If I can't get this fixed I won't be going this weekend.
The little hole I was looking at is a "weep" hole. It is designed to let the owner know that there is a seal failure. I will drop the t-case and see what the problem is and update later. Any volunters to help?hehe.Hopefully it is an easyy fix.

Does this help? It's what a jeeper on another forum experienced, thought it may be something to check into. My only experience is with gear boxes, not slush boxes.[addsig]
