If I'm looking at it right.. Mr. Chilton says "6.5 pints" that's from a dry transmission. He also says " for drain and refill use only about half this amount".

6.5 pints=3.25 U.S. Quarts

couldnt tell you on a t-18 how many qts but in my sm465 8.5 qts
