used sound bar w/domw light install ?????

I just acquired what appears to be a factory sound bar with a dome light for a TJ. It has 6 wires, 2 brown (speaker), 2 Blue (another speaker) and a pink and yellow (dome light). For the dome light, which wire is the ground? Also, what are my options on how to hook up the dome light? I would ideally like to hook it up to my doors and so I can turn in on by turning my headlight switch all the way yo the left. Is this possible or am I limited to hooking up another toggle switch?? Any help would be much appreciated!!

You did not mention the year of your jeep, but I am ging to assume that it is a TJ, One wire will get connected to a comstant 12 volt source. The other is going to get connected to the door triggers which are a negitive signal. The easies way to find a door trigger is to use a multi meter, put it on continuity, put one end to groung and test the two wires on teh passangers (usually thats the side the wires from the sound bar come down) door trigger (the little button that controls the interior lights with the door. Test the wires, when you hear the meter beep (or show the continuity display) that is the wire in which you need ot attach the wire. As to which is which, I really don't know. If you know what your speaker wires are, and only have two left, use a 9 volt battery and touch the wires to the battery terminals, should be enough to slightly light the bulb but not enough to burn it out!

jps4jeep is correct. If it is a YJ, then you can simply find the wire that goes to the Door ajar switch and splice into it (use a splicing adapter) the other wire simply goes into a 12 volt constant. Make sure to use an in line fuse.-al
