I'd check your local wrecking yards or maybe even a transmission shop.

Welcome to jeepz. You could only have been more wrong if you would have listed your jeep as a '96  The '95 is a YJ, never came with a 2.8L, and if it's a 2.5L it wouldn't have the AX15 transmission.

I'm suspicious :?

I'll be moving this thread to CJ/YJ/TJ. Please play well with others here, it's a nice forum.

Bouny hunter is right, its gotta be an ax5 if you have a 2.5L. I just got my transmission stuck in gear on tuesday. I called around and the ax 15 are all about 800 and above... Im sure the same will be for ax5. go on ebay they are the cheapest and amico.

HAHAHA, Oh man, I must have been half asleep when I read that. I didn't even catch that.

I think he's making it all up

I don't blame you bounty. Looks like bait to me. I mean, EVERY technical part of the post is wrong.......that's just too tempting for some of us. Then it's posted in multiple forums.......another temptation too great for a few of the members. Then he had the nerve to be rude.....which as we know, offends alot of members. Yeah, suspicious :?

RE: Atlanta Shooting

Though the facts are a little out of sync, this does not change the response to the question.
If you want to know of a local place then tell us where you are located and we will gladly help. You need to verify what transmission you have and search the salvage yards, E-bay or other classifieds. People remove factory transmissions in Jeeps all the time to upgrade to stronger units. A replacement for yours should be easy to find.

A place I can usually find parts is toybox jeeps, in Holly Hill, Fl. they have a web and are very helpful. Jeff's jeeps out of Tampa is another. Also now might be a good time to upgrade if you can afford to.
