Weird noise

So I am getting a weird noise coming from the front of my Jeep. It only happens in 2wd, and it's not even completely constant, just most the time. As soon as I put it in 4wd and start driving the noise is gone. It kind of sounds like a loud ticking, and it speeds up as the Jeep speeds up, also slows down as the Jeep slows down.. Any ideas?

Also, everything was fine before i did the rear axle swap, but now that i finished it the noise started. But the noise is definitely coming from the front not rear.

I would start with u joints how old r they mine have gone out every 4 years almost to date and two weeks ago mine did the same noise I started there and all were bad even knuckle joints on axle

I have never changed my U joints in the front before.. Also, I'm getting a sort of binding feel in my steering wheel at times, and a loud popping noise.

Check your wheel bearings for up and down or check play on the axle shaft u joint

Here is pretty much exactly what it sounds like:
That's not my Jeep but it is what mine sounds like. I pulled the front drive shaft but it still makes the noise. I did what this guy did:
and I am getting some play on both sides, not as much as him but still some play. Moreso on one side then the other.

Seriously What about the ujoints on the axels at the wheels? There is a correct name for these I can't recall at the moment. Part 25,26,27

That's pretty much what I'm thinking, I just don't want to change them only to find out it's something else. I just want to be completely sure.

Neither of them are mine, they were just examples of what I'm seeing/hearing. Mine doesn't have that much play, but it does have some play.

Well if there is play they need to be replaced if its the prob or not

I'll see about replacing them tomorrow.

Its kinda hard to pin point that noise almost sounds like the driveshaft is rubbing on something have you climbed under and checked loose rubbing parts
