1-ton trucks ,,,, but then you would have them narrowed...

if you just want to run 35s why don't you just get dana 44 it's rated to hold up to 35s on fullsize truck... the 44 also weighs a lot less and u save on ground clearance ... for 35's the dana 60 is overkill. but i'm not telling you not to install it. another good axle would be high pinion 9 inch (FORD). it's rated to 38's.....hope i helped....good luck

You can get the D44 from old Scouts and full-size Jeep Cherokees. Carefull though as some of the SJ's came with a HD AMC20 rear axle (which isn't all that bad, as it has 1-piece axle shafts).[addsig]

A Ford 8.8 rear axle can also hold up to those 35" tires, and can be found with disc brakes in '95 and later Explorers, Navajos, Mountaineers. etc. They also came factory with many different gear ratio options, so you may find one to match the front. It's a good strong axle, comparable to a D44 in strength. Good thing is it has the same 5x4.5" lug pattern that your Jeep has now, and no D44's do.[addsig]

glad i could help ,,,, look for waggy axles if you can stay away from the scuot( they have less splines on the axles so they are weeeeeker) that 8.8 is stronger that a dana 44 but what we are trying to get away from ,,, or i was,,,, was dem damn c-clips they have to hold the axles in the tubes.... can you tell i hate c-clips.... oh yeah it is a few inches narrower than your dana35... the amc 20 is also good and stout like the 44 but the tubing is a little thinner than the 44... hey you know we forgot about bronco axles ,, like off a 67 they have dana44 fronts and 9" rear and are the right with for a jeep... still the grand waggy is the best way to go ... they are almost bolt ons....

say i drive a 91 yj and ran 35s on that dana 35 for about a year...i had a locker in rear.. all you have to do is not be hard on the gas for now... around here we get ok mud but i like to crawl .... if you like? i have a set of 35" GOODYEARS MTRs for sale 6 months old
