I have a 95 yj with full steel doors as ive been going through the forums and looking online im not sure which soft top would be the best and doesnt leak. Ive read alot that there is a gap in the top part of the door. I dont want to spend 600+ for a top thats gonna let the rain in. Any help would be appreciated thanks all

might want to put the hard top back on then. i remember reading the same thing with full doors and a soft top

i have a 94 with half doors and bought a Bestop Supertop (or whatever complete with all new hardware and crap) and the upper door frames fell apart within a cpl of months, so i hardly even put the top on anymore! even in the winter lol thinking about buying new door uppers, but worried about them falling apart again :(

yeah i havnt heard the best things about supertop. How does the half door and soft top combo work i believe you have to zipper it to get in and out correct.

anyone with full steel doors and a soft top please chime in and lend me a hand

no no lol th zipper is only for the window. you open the door like normal, and some soft uppers have sliding windows like hard tops. but i liked the zipper windows bc the whole window opens up and folds down, and all that is left is the border and its only 3-4 inches wide

First off, asking for a soft top that doesn't leak is like asking for a wife that doesn't nag. J/K i hope i didnt hurt anyones feelings:D. I have a full steel door and a soft top on my CJ. It's great during the winter and rainy days but i like using the half hard lower door and soft uppers better. I also swap between the soft top to the hardtop and either combo i choose seems to work great in keeping the rain out. Depending on how hard the downpour is and it's direction, sometimes i get some water intrusion between the windshield frame and the door on the upper corner.

Hahahahahaha, I love your comments Steel.

I have a Trektop with full doors on my Jeep. When I'm driving around in the rain I do not witness any leaking, but if the Jeep sits in the driveway during a storm, the next morning there may or may not be a little water in the tub. So I can't say that this top leaks or not because the only water I see inside is on the floor and i don't see anything on the windows, so it might be coming from a different source. I know I have a different leak because I can't keep anything in the glove compartment... it's constantly swimming after some weather. haven't taken the time to find that one yet.

It wouldn't be a jeep if it didn't leak
