Will 31x12.50 fit stock TJ

Do I need a lift or not? Right now I have 31x10.50x15 on and would like to have a wider tire.

i'd say if you go with a rim that has enough backspace you shouldnt have any probs .. i have 31 x 10.50's on mine but i did a 1" BL so i wouldnt rub when i articulate

Mine came new with dealer installed 31" tires. I think the wheels were 4" of backspacing.

You'll likely have problems with the 12.50's hitting the LCA's if you use the stock wheels.

my cragers have 4" of BS but the stockers were summin like 5 or 6 so i'd measure things up

Best advice I can give you is have the tire dealer try them on your vehicle. I know the 31" X 9.5 will fit on a YJ on non-stock rims... I have that set-up. But they WILL rub on the fenders under articulation (even the street kind!). Mine came like that, so I have not changed it, but I do plan to lift my rig, and put 33" tires on it (maybe even bushwacker flares so that I can cut the wells).
