Help! short? wont start!

i wonder what a 1988 Wrangler with a 4 cyl and 110,000 miles is worth. Is $1800 a good price? Body is solid, the floors are solid, the frame has no rust. Engine sounds good. Good tires -- 31x10.50. Needs maybe new paint job. Is $1800 a reasonable price?

I've seen them go for more than that... if you don't mind the 4 cyl then it's a good price... I hope its a 5 spd at least! Go to www.kbb.com and you can get the jeeps value from that.

Sounds reasonable, as long as compression checks okay and the transmission shifts smoothly.

Thanks guys. The reason this jeep interests me is that i live in Daytona Beach -- and the price of a jeep is usually on the HIGH scale down here -- and it is very difficult to find a non-modified, "normal" jeep with such a solid body and frame. I do not care for a 4 cyl with that many miles -- but, i can always throw another engine in if I have to. My main concern is the body and frame -- as perfect as I have seen.

Do i make any sense??

Well you can't buy a Jeep in that runs for under $2500 and those have bad cancer. It looks like a great price to me.
