Yea thats what i meant, i diden't know that diesels are so heavy or maybe just the old ones are. i was looking at a Benz E350 CDI and it gets about 40MPG and will pull the same time on the track as the non CDI gas burners. If a wrangler was made in Germany they would have had diesel wrangler long time ago.
