YJ right turn signals sometimes fails

The right turn signal of my YJ stopped working one day, I thought it was the bulb and I just needed to replace it but I notice that sometimes it works correctly.

Now, every time I start the car, I have a 50/50 chance that it would work or not. I also noticed that the problem come along with the right stop light not working when this issue happens.

What do you think might be wrong?

Check and clean the ground and bulb socket. You could check the resistance from the socket to some point on the body and see that it is less than 5 ohms.

Had a similar problem in my TJ it was a bad ground on the rear light.

Thank you guys. It was a bad ground. I put some protections for the lights but the screws that came with it were not conducting

That's not the first time I've heard the blinker guards causing ground issues.
