RE: S N O W ! ! !

hey you guys are awesome . once again i have an issue with my 94 yj 4 banger. when it is cold outside it has a hard time starting. i have to crank it for a while. after a few tries it eventually starts without too much coughing or sputtering. any ideas?

RE: Paragon Anyone ?

Your battery might not be "larger enough" how many CCA is it?

Id have to check that but this is the first seson that ive had the problem. Im not talking about 10 degrees cold. it is really anything below 45. it is cranking fine. I havent noticed any reduction in cranking power.

RE: Will tires fit on wheels?

Sounds like a weak choke to me. But then again, I know virtually nothing about engines. My '94 4-banger fires up fine even in 5 degrees.....

RE: Will tires fit on wheels?

You may just need a tune up. No choke on the 94 with efi

See? TC just proved what I was saying about not really knowing squat about engines! Thanks, TC.....now I know more than I did a few hours ago!!

RE: Fuel system...

do you by chance know what kind of spark plugs you have? what kind of wires? like TC said... replacing all that with something of some quality may help you

I had a problem with some bad fuel a couple of winters ago, gummed up the injectors. Put in some of that STP fuel treatment for injection systems and made a world of difference. Of course I've been a lot more fussy with the gas I buy now too. :)

i got a 95 YJ that does the same thing. I have a relatively new optima so i know thats not it. I had already planned on the tuneup, new plugs etc... but never thought of the fuel injector cleaner. ill give it a try.

any more ideas?
