  • Mid-'90s, also found on similar lincoln and mercury models but make sure it's the 3.8 engine to get the good 2spd fan. Email me at bountyhunter AT sija.org if interested in a 62mm TB and spacer.
ok, thanks. It has good power to be a lil 4 banger but just not enough. What year of the Ford Taurus should i take the fan out of? Thanks for the help.
It will help some, but not as much as a 62mm throttle body will help. I sell 62mm throttle bodies and matching spacers that make a good power-producing combination. $95 for a 62mm TB and $40 for a spacer. There's other good power mods like switching from the mechanical fan to an electric from a 3.8L Ford Taurus, and a new Firepower ignition system from Performance Distributors.
Just fine, been busy with work, kid's sports, new ATV, etc. Seems to be a few days between checking in here anymore. Thanks for asking though, appreciate the thought.
also is there anything on the outside to look at to make sure he knows what hes got? mine is still in the jeep but his is out?
hey i read one of your posts on transfer cases that said late model cherokees have the same t/cs as wranglers. I have a 1997 TJ with a 4 banger, so a 89 cherokee np231 should be the same?
YJ soft uppers will not work due to the square corners on the upper rear. You need soft uppers designed for either a hardtop or Bestop Supertop, they have rounded upper rear corners.
I should specify, when I say YJ doors, I mean the soft doors I already have. I have pics on my thread "My $20 hard top." Thanks again.
    Hey BH,

I was wondering if you could weigh in on a question. I'm trying to mount a TJ hard top to my '93 YJ. So far I've gotten it to sit where it should, everything lines up. The only hitch seems to be the doors. If I buy TJ full doors, will they fit on the YJ? The YJ doors won't even come close to fitting the TJ hard top, so that's out of the question. Just wondered if you'd ever heard of this. Thanks, Boze.
hi i was reading some post and it sounds like you know your stuff. i have a brain tezzer for you. I have an 88 grand cherokee that i scooped up for $500 straight body clean inside and out. It has the straight 6 in it 5 speed 4 wheel you know the rest. Well i pulled it home with no spark so i changed out the cps, cap and rotor, some other things also and a new battery also. I am now getting spark fuel press is right on the money i have had a friend that i worked with at jeep that is a master tech come over and we have hooked the computer up to it and everything is right on the money. But yet it still just sits there and cranks nothing happens. We have sprayed starter fluid in the throttle it wont even back fire with that. Before we go on looking at more possibilitys like head gasket and bad piston which i am checking tomorrow is there any thing i should check on that i am missing you think??????? I really could use the help.
    Bounty Hunter,

got another question for you about my lift..would it work if i put 2" body lift and add a leaf on my 91 wrangler to fit the 33s
Hey bounty thanks for the advice, so do I just swap out the whole assembly on front and back with the 2.5l axles? Do you have any idea where I might find those axles i.e a good web site or something like that?
