    Finally

Congratulations. You're not gonna have any time to wheel the new jeep so I think you should just give it to me till you have time...I'll put it to good use and I'll even restock the cooler full of ice cold beers for when you want it back.

Well it's been nice knowing you.

I got word that this is the weekend I'm gonna die. All my friends are coming in from out of town to witness and participate in it. Not sure exactly what they're gonna do to me but it's not going to be good. They're all gonna take a turn at killing me.....it's my stag. To make things worse, my...

Anyone using a "new style" Ford F-150 for a tow vehicle?

Thanks for the info. I won't be towing the jeep all that much because I do most of my wheeling locally. I'll just be towing it for the longer trips that'll be way too expensive to have a tow truck bring it back when I break something. I will however be towing my boat at least 2-3 times per month...

Anyone using a "new style" Ford F-150 for a tow vehicle?

Hey. I know this isn't a jeep question but I'm looking at getting a 2005 or 2006 F-150 Super Crew (5.4L V-8 ). I'll be using it to tow the jeep to wheeling spots that are too far away and too expensive to have a tow truck pull me from when I break something. I'll also be towing a small boat...

    A little advice

Guess that depends on what kinda terms you broke up on. If you're looking to get even or just pi$$ her off then I would go out and find a better looking one right away and let her see you two together. Nothin will make her more mad than to see she's been replaced so quickly.

    Tires for snow/ice?

I have Yokohama Geolander mudterrains which are great in deep snow but are horrible on ice and compact snow. I also have a set to Geolander IT's which has a severe snow/ice rating and are excellent. I can go further in 2 wheel drive with these than I can in 4 wheel drive with my mudterrains...

You know you want one. Train horns for sale.

Hey thanks for the link. I've been searching everywhere for an electrically operated switch that'll operate an air horn instead of a lanyard valve. They have what I'm looking for.

    To those that are married..

I'm gettin married in less than a month (March 25'th) and we aren't gonna go anywhere right away. Can't really afford to go anywhere right after the wedding because of all the expenses and don't want to go anywhere in the summer when it's warm so we're gonna go next winter. Don't know where yet...

    All I can say is....WOW

Kinda reminds me of when my buddy put oxyacetylene into his pvc potato gun. He was pulling plastic shards out of his body for a week....he's lucky to be alive.

    Bodywork Basics

I'd just try calling around to a bunch of autobody shops and see what they recommend. That's what I did when I did some bodywork on the jeep a few years back. If you only need a small amount some shops will even sell it to you.

    i want onboard air!!!

What kind of compressor did you get out of the Ford? Most people use Yorks because they have an oil resevoir and do not need lubrication through the circulating a/c coolant. If it's not a York you might run into lubrication problems since it will not longer be circulating but just blowing air...

    Hockey fans?

Sucks that Canada got knocked out. I was kinda hoping for another bench clearing brawl like the one Canada had against Russia years ago. I'm sure some will disagree but fighting is a part of hockey.....always has been. I sure hope they change the rules (hopefully by 2010 when it comes here) and...

    electric compressor for OBA

I think the kilby website lists some mounting brackets for a York compressor made to fit with ac depending on your year of vehicle. Check them out. It might be a much cheaper way to go if you can fit one.

    Hockey fans?

I think that if they don't smarten up they're gonna win nothing....the way they're playing they don't deserve to be in the medal round.

    Hockey fans?

Canada's playing like cr@p! Again I think it comes down to the professionals playing. They won't hit or play as hard because they don't want to injure themselves and risk ruining their "paid" season in the NHL.

    Rear axle and 258 upgrades

Don't know about your year of jeep but a lot of the guys with YJ's ugrade their rear axle to an 8.8" out of a Ford Explorer. If you get 96 or newer (I think) it has disc brakes and an optional limited slip rearend. This axle is almost the same width as a YJ's....only 3/4" narrower. Also much...

    Hockey fans?

Can't wait till the Olympics come here. I'm gonna try and get tickets to some of the hockey games if they aren't too expensive.
