Don't feel bad man, In Canada the Jeep dealer's are pretty much the same, they want to sell you the Jeep but when something goes wrong the MOFO's don't want to fix it or they give you some BS, So I wouldn't give up on Jeep just yet, buy a relativley new/used Jeep and do most of the work yourself.

I myself like either a Rough Country 4" lift or the Rubicon Express 4" inch lift which will run you around 650$ US. They recomend you installing the slip yoke eliminator kit, but you MAY get away with out it, But I would install the kit if I were you. You can check out the different lift kits...
