    center dash piece

thanks for the help. i ended up using the Krylon Fusion and it worked pretty well. Still not the worlds finest job but good enough for me. i also used a flat finish which hid a lot of the imperfections as well.

    center dash piece

Has anyone painted their center dashboard piece where the radio is? I did and it looks bad. It actually didnt look to bad at first, but then I added another coat and little craters formed everywhere on it (maybe called pitting?). Anyone have any tips. My process: 1. lightly sanded it 2...

Do I REALLY need to regear?

What part of Florida? I run 3.07 and 33's right now. Im regearing to either 3.73 or 4.11. If you arent going to go bigger than 31's I would have to say the 3.07 is fine. Especially in Florida.

    Axle swap

RE: How I do mostly daily driving and the occasional Florida muddy trails. I guess my main concern was if the 3.73 will be enough power to get the Jeep close to stock. If it is, I would rather save some money and only regear the rear rather than regearing both. The new axle does have cv...

    speedo gear?

RE: Jeep transporting help needed yeah i guess ill just keep the stock speedo gear until I get 4.11's. the only problem is the one shop i called wants $500 per axle to swap gears (thats just labor). It cost me $1400 to regear my Ford f150 i used to have and that was from a different shop. So...

    speedo gear?

My local Jeep dealer told me the lowest speedo gear they offered was one with 28 teeth. According to all the charts, I need a 26 tooth for 3.07 gears and 33" tires. Whats up with that?

    Update (wheel alignment)

UPDATE: turns out, something is wrong. when my buddy and I were istalling a 4" superlift today (which i didnt receive lower control arms) we noticed what was wrong with my camber. my driver side bump stop, the metal part where the top of the coil meets the frame, and something on my axle...

    turn signal swith

RE: FINALLY got a rear brake hose for the SOA I installed the new turn signal switch and that fixed my problem. It was pretty easy. I love this Jeep, everything looks simple and easy to do (for the most part). I installed an aftermarket cd player the other day and there was ample room behind...

    turn signal swith

RE: Buying a 1999 XJ ... Needing lift suggestions Thank you. I have been slammed this week and havent had any time so I figured I would ask you all before I dove into the project and possibly wasted my time. I appreciate it!!

    turn signal swith

MC 2150 adapter question When I press my brake the left turn signal light illuminates on the dash and in the front (but not in rear). Also when I turn the left signal on, all rear lights flash as if I had the hazards on. I had my wiring checked by a trailer and hitch shop because the Jeep...

    lower control arms

sorry, i guess it was a misunderstanding. I know them as lower control arms and I guess Superlift calls them front lower links. Thats what happens when you have minimum knowledge of the subject. The kit comes with them supposedly. My mistake!

    lower control arms

    Thanks you!

    lower control arms

I ordered the 4" standard Superlift kit. It doesnt come with control arms. But Superlift and the dealer I ordered it from said the kit has everything I will need to lift the Jeep. So what exactly would be a benefit of getting a kit with the new lower control arms? Thanks!

    4.10 or 4.56?

Re: RE: Re: RE: Pop or soda? Age old question for ya! I have 3.07 gears now and I am putting 33's on soon. I drive about 80% street and highway and 20% off road (no rocks) I guess Im looking to get it back to stock power (maybe a little more) and some what decent gas mileage. What gear do you...
