thanks for the help. i ended up using the Krylon Fusion and it worked pretty well. Still not the worlds finest job but good enough for me. i also used a flat finish which hid a lot of the imperfections as well.

What part of Florida? I run 3.07 and 33's right now. Im regearing to either 3.73 or 4.11. If you arent going to go bigger than 31's I would have to say the 3.07 is fine. Especially in Florida.

RE: Jeep transporting help needed yeah i guess ill just keep the stock speedo gear until I get 4.11's. the only problem is the one shop i called wants $500 per axle to swap gears (thats just labor). It cost me $1400 to regear my Ford f150 i used to have and that was from a different shop. So...

My local Jeep dealer told me the lowest speedo gear they offered was one with 28 teeth. According to all the charts, I need a 26 tooth for 3.07 gears and 33" tires. Whats up with that?

sorry, i guess it was a misunderstanding. I know them as lower control arms and I guess Superlift calls them front lower links. Thats what happens when you have minimum knowledge of the subject. The kit comes with them supposedly. My mistake!

I ordered the 4" standard Superlift kit. It doesnt come with control arms. But Superlift and the dealer I ordered it from said the kit has everything I will need to lift the Jeep. So what exactly would be a benefit of getting a kit with the new lower control arms? Thanks!
