If you want that much of a lift do a SOA (spring over axle)lift. Other than that your best option would be a 4in lift with a 1in body lift. You really don't want to go more than a 1in body lift even though there are people that will say a 2in body is fine. Just my opion a 1in body is plenty.

As far as I can remember you will need the windshield header. And don't forget about the bows as well.

No I think the new ones are just as bad as the new ones. I do alot of mud bogging. They aren't any good in snow either. Pittbull Krawlers, Swampers, or Mickey Thompson's aren't to bad but they are spendy

I run my 89yj without the rear trackbar and I do go up in the mountains for four wheeling and use it as a daily driver and I have no problems at all

I have a friend that had the company in Billings, MT make him a complete frame. He had them use 3/16 instead of the standard 1/8 frame. It's expensive to go that way. If it's just a spot in the frame it would be cheaper to have them just make a small section or the cheapest way would be take it...

Yes welcome to the Z. Is it a 4.2L and if it is you would find benaficial to put a howes fuel injection on it for performance and fuel mileage

My 89 YJ 258 has a 2 barrel on it. Changed it out to a holley carb.

If your shakles are to tight you won't be able to flex. Make sure they are not to tight.
