    99 Tj 2.5L busting belts

It would definitely have to be this. Usually if it's a pulley, you can hear it squeak and squeal when the Jeep is idle. If you do have a pulley going out, replace it ASAP. Bad things can happen when pulley bearings finally give up the ghost. I've also heard stories of water pump pulleys going...

    Carb?

Sure you can! Chevy Corvettes, Tahoes, Suburbans, Silverados, and GMC Trucks and Yukons all use 350's in one form or another, and those are just the models I can remember off-hand. I'm pretty sure there were more models in the lineup that still use them. And even if you can't find an OEM unit...

    ?73 cj5 extremely rough ride?

First, like Ggg said, your sixer will be easier on your stock drivetrain than a V8 would be. Still, I think your drivetrain can handle a stock V8. If you do decide to go to a V8, consider beefing up your axles a bit. Rebuilding the sixer with some performance upgrades thrown in is a good option...

    Intake Suggestions

That sounds like an odd problem... One obvious fix is to just replace it with something better. You have a couple options with this route. Option A, you can spend $150 or more and buy an aftermarket performance intake. If you want to spend that much, this is the easiest option. Option B, you...

    ?73 cj5 extremely rough ride?

Just judging by the small increase in CID, not much. And not nearly enough to warrant the time spent doing the swap, let alone the money, if any were needed. If you really want to swap, I'd go with something bigger. The AMC 360 would be a good choice. They are relatively cheap and plentiful. And...

I have a question about my transfer case...

Right, normally it wouldn't. That's what the axle disconnect is for. But like I said in the first post, my vac motor is dead and I bypassed it so that the front axle is always engaged, and so the front driveshaft will always turn. I did this because I needed my 4WD to work in a pinch, and right...

    Used coil springs or new?

Here's an excerpt from the Sine Deviance book of buying car parts: "Buy used, unless safety is at stake..." I always buy new when it's suspension, steering, frame, braking, or fuel tank/delivery. Having one of those parts fail is a safety issue that might get you killed, and with new parts you...

    Hi-Lift Jack Hood Mount

Yeah, you can do that, but then it's still exposed to water from splash when you drive through puddles and such. I don't have one yet but I'm planning to get the 48" package deal off Quadratec, comes with the highlift, a case, and the handle clamp. When I get it I'm going to mount it inside...

I have a question about my transfer case...

Okay... so the weather was really bad here last night and we got about a half foot of snow in a period of about 4 hours. So the roads got ****ty really quick. My 4WD system wasn't working because the axle disconnect vac motor was shot, and I needed it to work, so I climbed under there and...

    87 yj power steering?

Shouldn't be a huge pain. You should only need hand tools (including a Torx set, I think you need them for this) and a jack, a couple jackstands, and a 12-pack of your choice. I would also recommend you spend the $15 and get a Haynes manual for your Jeep, they are invaluable for in-depth jobs...

    87 yj exhaust fumes.

A few possibilities here. 1. You have an exhaust leak somewhere under the passenger compartment, probably closer to the front of the Jeep. This is the most common problem, OEM-style exhaust systems usually only last for five or so years before they start to leak. If you had a leak in the...

    Carb?

Yeah, two things... 1. Cash 4 Clunkers was essentially a big scam. The government has not paid back any of the dealerships/junkyards that were involved (yet.) Because of this, many smaller dealerships and junkyards have gone under. This makes it even harder to find a good used car/good used...

93 wrangler yj whats it worth

If it doesn't have a motor, transmission, or tcase in it, then it's worth about $500 at max. The shell and frame could be worth a little more than that but with the rust... yeah, about $500. Most people will probably want to pay less.
