New guy building his first jeep

Yeah it had the body lift on it when i bought it. The lift shackles are only on the rear, the front i reverse shackled so that gave me a little lift. My plan is to run 38's on it when i get all the other kinks worked out on it. the 35's were just on the f150 axle donor vehicle, and they are...

Installed new 258 and now it won't start!!

i just put the distributor in and there is a 50/50 chance of it being in the right position, then check the timing and if it doesnt start, and is backfiring out the carb then your 180 off, so then pull the distributor out carefull and spin it 180 and check timing. It took me about 5 minutes to...

    Lots of body work

yeah i agree with him on that, I work at a boat manufacturer and i use fiberglass all the time, it will hold on small patches, but under your floor i would at least put some thin sheet metal down first. I used plastikote brand bedliner that you can get at walmart for like $45/ gal and it works...

New guy building his first jeep

Yeah it doesnt have a rear bumper yet.. I still havent decided what i'm going to use to make one out of ,and i'm hoping with a bumper, a rear seat, and the cage i will have enough weight, but still be light enough if i get in deep mud. As for a spare tire i probably wont have one, the tires on...
