    the 2.5 is realy the same block as a 4.0, just 2 cylinders shorter. with what the 2.5 lacks in engine , can be made up for in gears. the 8.8's are ok with up grades it could do ok with 37's. i'm running 37" irocs on my front dana 30, it's open but doing well:D. you will lose a lot of ground...

    dana 30 axles

    yes you can pull the axle shafts, they will be the same, make sure you have a 30 and ya pull 30 shafts, and the same with the rear. 35's won't fit a dana 44.

    if ya want a 4.0 wait for one. my friend just bought one with a 4.0 33"s for 3200$ not a spot of rust... the 2.5's are good,, time to regear when ya hit 33's. the 30/35 combo works well for mild wheeling... tips check for rust every were... pull up the carpet the driver's floor is always...

    as for the cooling, is it a open or closed system ? you could upgrade a cooling fan, or add water wetter, it's to drop your coolant temp by 10-15 degrees....
