Recently, around 3k rpm, I have been getting a bit of stutter from the engine. Feels almost like small spirts of no fuel? Then it is fine. The engine has not stalled yet, but it gets shaky sometimes due to the stutter. Any ideas?
thanks. jered
Mine has the same symptoms sometimes too. I seem to notice it more on really humid mornings (like if it rains the night before). Just clicks when I turn the key. Then I let it sit and try it 5-6 more times waiting a few minutes in between. A few minutes later it'll start right up?! Any ideas? jered.
Ok... here comes another gearing question. (sorry) '91 YJ, 4.0L, 3.5" suspension lift, 32x11.5's................. what would help my gas milage and make me feel as fast as a '93 Mercury Tracer again? thanks. jered.

I just bought a set of tires, but think that'd be a great deal for a spare. (Currently have a factory-size spare) jered
I was running about 35 psi rear and 32 front... Is this ok or should I drop it 5lbs or so? Also... why do YJ's not need a rear trac bar? (Why is it there?) Thanks. jered
Don't get your hopes up. I've been talking to Aussie for the last 5 months and they still haven't developed the D35 locker. They keep moving the release date a month later. (now its for sometime in Feb) Hopefully it'll be out by the time I graduate college! jered
Well I finally got my 3.5" lift on a month ago, so Im running with that and 32" Dunlop mud rovers (I need to post some pics!) I took it off road with about 24 psi and it performed a lot better than street pressure. The front sway bars are also off at the moment. Going out tomorow morning to find...
I was looking into getting an XJ for my off-roader and was wondering if anyone has seen an engine conversion to a Ford 5.0 in an cherokee? Any input welcome. Jered
I finally saw a Liberty i like.....
I was looking for an auto locker for the ol YJ Dana 35. I do not have abs, but there is a Detroit EZ locker on ebay that is for the Dana 35 WITH abs, how different is it? Would it work?? Thanks. jered
Yeah, aparently it was meant to be a trendy "rescue" type vehicle for fire departments or camping grounds? I dunno about the interior... doesn't look like it'd get along with dirt/mud very well...
jered
Have you seen the new Jeep Rescue? Aparently somebody left a TJ and an H1 alone in the garage without a proper car cover! If they ever produce it I will no longer hold my grudge about DC producing the Liberty, looks like a step in the right direction... except for the paint. jered...
Ok, got most of the moldy look out with laundry detergent and a good scrubbing, but the stink is still there! Do you all think citrus products help with the moldy smell? thanks. jered
Got the 3.5" lift on as well as my new 32x11.5 Dunlop Mud Rovers. I've only been out with them once and they sure seem to have a good bite when it comes to the thick/sloppy mud around here. Road noise is almost non-existant with all the soft-top noise!

I have a gray Bestop soft top and it is beginning to accumulate mold? or fungus? spots on it. What is a safe way to remove this? Bleach? Laundry detergent? thanks!

Good news! I replaced the motor mounts this morning and the vibration is 75% gone! It is now quite driveable. There is still a little bit of vibration left around 35-50mph and I plan on installing some 4degree shims to remedy this. I did have the 4-wheel alignment done by a good 4wd shop. I may...
