ELP! wifes dd 2000 hrand is acting up...

Thanks everyone. Go figure it was indeed the printed circuit board inside the tail light assy. Haas to remove entire light from jeep and bring in to the kitchen of the house. Then I took a heat gun to break glue loose holding the two halves of the light housing together. After apart I used...

    33s on 2 inch

I run 33-12.5 mt claws on my yj with a four in lift. No issues with clearance. But I also run tube fenders and have flat flares with the rear wheel wells chopped up a little. Also run the black mt 10in X 15in wheel. That's on my yj though. My best friend runs 33-12.5 on his 99 tj with the two in...

cj breaks driving me crazy. need help.

I had all sorts of brake issues on my 87 yj when I first purchased 9 yrs back. I did a ton of research on the issues and they were similar to what u are having. What I found out was that it was the booster, and the valve. So I found a write up on line that had directions to take the entire set...

Chevy s10 rims fit a jeep?

Ran into a gentleman last week that had a set of aluminum rims with good tires on them he was selling for $100. I own a 1999 jeep grand Cherokee and also a 1987 jeep wrangler with stock axles in it still for now. Will these rims bolt on either one of my jeeps? If so that's a good deal and I'll...

    Yj heat blower not working.

Was it a factory wire from the battery? Hmmm. I have done bunch if electrical work to mine over years and do have a bunch of power wires going to the battery for different stuff. But I dont think any of them were there from factory for the blower. To cold and too much snow right now to try

    carburetor for 258cui

I upgrade mine to the webber 34/38 shortly after I picked up my jeep. (11 years back now). It's the same as the 32/36 but jetted up. I love it. Well worth the money for sure. Twice the power, starts in cold weather, and have had my jeep laying on its side and on its roof and was still trying to...

    Engine swap

Well not sure where you are located but I got almost everything needed to do the swap.... I got a small block 350 with some extras on it, and I also got the cradle kit from advanced adapters that goes between frame rails and the 350 mounts right to it. Best way to set it in a jeep by far. Ties...

Front trackbar bolt looks loose (as in bolt too small for the hole)

That has been recommended to me several times from my wheeling buddies. They all said I do not need track bar with leaf springs. I do not think that it would matter for inspection. As is I have no rear track bar or front sway bar so what's the difference?' I think that would be the next step...

Front trackbar bolt looks loose (as in bolt too small for the hole)

My 87 wrangler with 4.5 in lift has given me front track bar issues for ten years now. First they were breaking, so I got a nice grade 10 bolt and put good washers on each side. Lasted for a little while. Then they kept loosening up on me. Even with a lock nut. So then I tried blue lock- tite...

    1999 grand cherokee computer reset

I own a 1999 jeep grand Cherokee with a 3.7L v8. About six months ago the starter went right in the middle of a road trip. So I got one at a local parts store and changed it on the side of the road. (What a chore that was with a v8 in a tiny little jeep!) of course I had to unhook the battery to...

    Yj heat blower not working.

Well so much for that one!! I replaced resistor and plug. Try heat and still no blower!! So the fix continues on.... I have power to the resistor on all appropriate wires. So I would assume the blower control in the dash is working correctly. I am going to start tracing wires back to the blower...

    Yj heat blower not working.

Well that was a big help actually. I did ohm it out and check voltages yesterday. There was voltage coming out on a different wire each time I switched the fan speed knob. So yes you were right there. I was going to just wire the high speed wire to my blower mtr it self and bypass the speeds...

    Yj heat blower not working.

So I have a 1987 jeep wrangler YJ. Earlier this summer the heat stopped working one night on a cold ride home. After tearing the dash cluster apart and testing the switch panel I now know that is not my problem. So i turn to the blower it's self. As I start to poke around with the meter I do...

    Whoops

I bought a champion winch at tractor supply a few years back. Best $450 ever spent. I have used a dozen times extracting my jeep and worked very well. Even use to move logs every season while cutting fire wood. Front or rear doesn't matter with a good snatch block. Also an optima battery is also...

    Rusty floor boards

Stuck/rusted bolt removal. I'm a big fan of pbr for a few weeks. Then if need be heat with torch and throw cold water on it- then heat again and try removing it. All bolts on my seat broke off on me. I just drilled them out after and used longer bolts right through the old nut you drilled out...
