I’m thinking of doing a cam and lifters in a 2006 LJ with a 4.0.

I prefer superchargers over a turbo. But this is a daily driver. If the OPDA hadn’t needed to bereplaced I wouldn’t be in a position to replace the cam. I guess the 05-06 Wrangler is another black sheep.

I’m thinking of doing a cam and lifters in a 2006 LJ with a 4.0.

I have thought about regearing this one. The only draw backis I only pull a trailer once in a while. I’m surprised that there isn’t a big enough market forupgrades short of building a stroker.

I’m thinking of doing a cam and lifters in a 2006 LJ with a 4.0.

I took your advice and called Hesco great people. They said that they don't have any cores to work from. they also said the same thing you did and sugested an older cam. The only other option is to get a stock one from Chysler.

I’m thinking of doing a cam and lifters in a 2006 LJ with a 4.0.

I was hoping to find something with more duration and may be just a bit of lift. What brand of products would you recommend Bounty Hunter? Thanks,

Replacing the timing chain in a 06 LJ

No I was not aware of the ODPA issue or what it means. I was in the process of replacing a rusty oil pan and noticed a lot of play in the timing chain. I'm just an old man that likes to play in the dirt.
