yeah I bought an 89 s-10 at a junk yard for 500 bucks got the complete drivetrain out of it and put it in my jeep. Then i scrapped the s-10 at a salvage yard at got 225 back. So it was a cheap powertrain swap, but you'll also need the motor mount kit.

After I put my high pinion 44 in the front and reverse shackled it I noticed my shock isnt in a very good location. It tilts forward and my springs when they articulate it makes their angle more severe. My question is where do I mount the shock, on the frontside of the axle so it tilts...

If i woulda known there was use for them i had one in mine about a month ago but i cut it all out. All i have left is the ecm and some orange square box that says jeep on it...Does anybody know what this is? It was down by the fuse block.

Yeah sorry i wasnt clear. Yes they are shims to change the angle of your differential. I put them on mine and they helped a little.

the SYE just basically shortens your transfer case so you will have a longer driveshaft with less angle. so without it you will risk going past the amount of angle your ujoint can take. I'm not sure whether you have a cv or a plain u joint though.. i think if you put some angled spacers under...

is there a difference between the ones in the jeep and the ones in an s-10. because i have the one out of an s-10 and you can pick them up at junk yards everywhere for about 150. The small junk yard i went to had 14 s-10 blazers, so they are quite abundant.

I also thought about a powertrax for mine..but after some research they can only handle up to 33" tires.

I thought about doing the same thing, but i read alot of bad things so i ended up just buying a spool for 50 bucks on ebay that way if something breaks it wont take out the whole gear set.

are you sure you have the coil wires hooked up properly, and not grounding it out?

I used plastikote on mine... Its cheap and it comes from walmart, and as long as you scuff it up good, then it doesnt come off... My whole jeep is covered in it and it looks really good, and covers up rust really well... I think it runs about $40/gal and you can also get it in a spray can for...

You could also do a spring over with your stock suspension. Sombody might correct me but i think all you would need is new shocks then. Suppose to give you about 4 inches of lift.

yeah try disconnecting the sender wire on the oil pressure sending unit..if it drops to zero and then maxes out when you hook it back up, then it means the sending wire is being grounded out somwhere...thats how i test boat gauges to find out if its the gauge or sending unit...if its not...

I saw them fix this problem on the show TruckU on speed channel the other day and they said it almost always in the sway bar or ball joints

yeah maybe if mine is up and running we should get a group of us and go to the badlands someday this spring, i've three other buddies with nice jeeps that i'm sure would want to go... how old are you by the way??
