Well since my team is out (Vancouver) I'm gonna have to go for Calgary since I have a lot of friends from there. Still can't believe we didn't even make it into the playoffs. We definately had the team to go all the way but they played like crap.

Anybody still watching??? Just watched Edmonton send the Sharks home (as they did our beloved Redwings!:redface: :redface: ). Looks like they're pretty hungry. Be kinda nice to see an 8 seed win the cup!!

Sports is suppose to be fun, we all play them as kids and love it. We don't play to win money. I have to say I personally am getting tired of the strikes in all sports for money. Anyone watch the movie "The Replacements", that is the way it should be. If they can't play for the love of the game anymore, then I have no respect. They are all making more money then any of us but they want more to play a game that we all love and a game that we would all love to have a chance to play for free. Greed is bad and now I watch HBO instead of ESPN. Just an opinion from a college baseball player who would have loved to play just one game in the Majors.

June-August...thats baseball season. Plus the world cup is in June-July. There will be some great sports going on then.

I'm routing for your Sabres as well. Actually, I like both of the teams out west.

If it was an Edmonton and Sabres matchup, that could quite possibly be the least watched S Cup finals ever.

True. I'd love it. As I said, I'm routing for the Sabres.

But the ratings would be terrible because those are 2 very tiny markets. Remember, I didn't say it wouldn't be a good series, I said it could be the least watched finals in some time. And it wouldn't be very good in trying to get hockey back on a real channel like ESPN and off the very horrible OLN network. I want the sport to appeal to the masses to increase my ability to catch a game without having to buy the NHL Center Ice package.

For example, which superbowl would have better veiwership. Atlanta vs. Jacksonville, or New York Giants vs. Oakland? I think we know that the bigger markets are usually the bigger draw, and thus better for ratings.

Hey, don't feel bad. Our Redwings are good, but they're gone, too.

Look out for Edmonton - they may be an 8 seed, but they're playin' some great hockey........and that goaltender they picked up is playin' out of his arse!!!!

Well most of Western NY will be extremely excited to see Buffalo in the finals. And if any real hockey fans watched how they play I am sure they would be real interested to watch. Buffalo has embraced the new hockey. Fast and Quick...its a whole lot more exciting than watching old school phili....ugh.
