high beams work, low beams won't... what gives???

RE: Engine operating temperature for an 4.0 L unless you have 4 headlights (which you don't) it is a dual filament. High beams are not only brighter, they are aimed slightly higher as well (hence the term high beam) have you verified power to both filaments with the meter?

    Tread Lightly Master Trainer available

Yup.. that's right. I am now officially a Tread Lightly Master Trainer. I'm looking to get in touch with local (to NJ) wheeling clubs to talk to them about the Tread Lightly ethic in the hopes of keeping what land we have open for public use. If you are interested in finding out about Tread...

been there.. done that. 2 choices.... Drill out the center of the tap & use an EZ out.. it will work, be patient and be sure you are using good, hardened bits to drill the tap out. OR.... do what I did after breaking an EZ out and about 6 drill bits. drop the seat back, get under the carpet...

    Security System

Fuel pump kill sowtches won't harm anything. The injectors won't be damaged by running out of gas. If that was the case there would be lots of us who did damage.... I'm toying with doing the same, even though my ZJ has the factory alarm system - they are nothing but an annoyance really.

    Manual Hubs

RE: Body mount nuts stripped out. the only real advantage to going with manual hubs on a jeep is you can unlock at the wheel and not push the front axle and driveshaft in 2WD.. you could gain as much as 5MPG on the highway (we saw this on a 99XJ when we removed the front driveshaft, we couldn't...

    4Low question...

RE: Re: RE: 4Low question... I second that... I regularly leave my transmission in OD(auto) when in 4lo on the trail. You won't damage the T-case on the short distances that you run in 4lo on the trail. In my mazda (stick) I used to leave it in 4lo and run 2nd or 3rd gear on the trail, usually...
