I have a 97 TJ and like em all the flares faded to a nasty gray. So i took em off and had em painted with automotive grade "Spice" paint to match the top. looked GREAT at 1st but the paint didn't stick very well. What can I do? My 97 XJ has body color flairs on it (factory I think) thet still...

alright... adjuster was here today; he's "99%" on it being totalled but doesnt have the "authority" to "call it" officially, that has to come from "claims dep't"; hopefully within the next couple days. IF and WHEN that does come I may start a "part out" thread... but not until.

this is on your 99 TJ? maybe a bad temp sensor so the computer always "thinks" the engine is warm?

yup the "key part" of teh ignition switch should be available at about any parts store; teh actual ignition "switch" is actuated by a long rod and is further down on the column. I had the same thing on my 97 TJ; wound up being around the engine side of the heater box (I think; I ain't looking under my hood as I type this; having a "brain fart") center of firewall above valve cover IIRC; there's another spot behind the battery. I siliconed both spots from under the hood...
