mine is the same way , i idle about 20ish and normal running about 40 but sometimes when i first start up the pressure doesnt rise quick enough and the "check gauges" kicks on 42K on the clock of my 01 4.0

i think an oil pan skid is a good idea , alot of bad things can happen and sliding off a rock and letting it jab a hole in your jeeps blood supply is one of em, my oil pan has a few nicks and dents from sliding mishaps

i done a 1" on a tj and it was a breeze used my rock knockers as my jack point one side at a time about an hour and half in it all together working leisurely

my 01 has 2 precats right at the header so i removed the big cat down wind right before the exhaust flange put in a section of 2.5" pipe felt like it breathed easier but nothing really noticeable besides louder haha

i'd say if you go with a rim that has enough backspace you shouldnt have any probs .. i have 31 x 10.50's on mine but i did a 1" BL so i wouldnt rub when i articulate

prolly on the back could be a pair of RCA inputs that you can use an RCA to mini jack adapter cable with or might be a changer port that you have to buy an adapter for ... but manual is always a good idea
