after a little more poking around,it appears its the stabilizer not the mount. just had this transmission put in last summer... :/ seems the bushing for the stabilizer is broken in half. how do i go about dropping the skidplate and supporting the transmission at the same time?
was driving in the yard-stock 84 cj7- and got an awful clunking sound.
looked underneath and noticed one of the bolts that binds the transmission to the skidplate i assume is loosened maybe a 1/2 inch down the threads.
its on skidplate,in middle but closer to drivers side. of course when i...
heat gun. someone wrote a reply about using a heat gun on fender flares here a few months ago, tried it and it works great!
heat guns are 20 bucks or so at any big auto store. just use the heat from the gun about 6 inches from the flare(dont even have to take them off the jeep) and it brings the...
did you have to do hardcore cleaning underneath before applying por 15?

it was $400 to transport mine from cleveland to raleigh(about 500 miles)
i used able auto transport i believe-did a great job,had it to me ahead of schedule.

macguyver had a renegade in the earlier episodes also.
speaking of jeeps on tv, if asnyone gets the outdoor channel on cable/satellite, they have a few 4x4 shows on . no set time or days.superlift,4x4 tv and four wheeling are the 3 shows ive seen.
when i wash mine with the top off i completely and utterly soak the whole interior with no regard whatsover and have had zero problems for doing it.(i do have water resistant seats and a cj though...wouldnt recommend that on a yj or tj with the cloth though ;)
all of us raleigh jeepers need to get together and go wheelin one of these days :)
i want to do the motorcraft switch also, carter is driving(or should i say stalling) me up a wall lol

All AMC 20s have a 8 7/8" R&P and use a 29 spline shafts. The AMC 20 R&P is 3/8" bigger than the Dana 44, but it uses smaller shafts, smaller axle...
