06 Commander Rust under Seats?

I have an 06 Commander and we have alot of noticeable rust that is under the seats. Has anyone else ran into this issue?

Post some photos of what you mean.

Are you talking about under the carpet, or the hardware under the seat? That's pretty surprising for a newer, closed top Jeep.

on the hardware under the seat. My wife had put an umbrella under the seat months ago and when she pulled it out it had rust dust all over it. Called chrysler and they have had no issues like it that have been reported.

If it's @ the base area of the Seat track fasteners, you might have a waterleak somewhere.

Some of that seat frame hardware (slides, brackets, etc) was probably unpainted. Pretty normal for surface rust to form on these parts. Just a little condensation would start it off. You might want to check that your floor pans are dry under the carpets so you don't end up with rotted floors... Best of luck - John

Commander starter issues?

Has anyone had starter issues with their Commander? Mine starts 95% of the time and then occassionally it will only start with a jump. Is this a dead spot in the starter or what could it be? I have replaced the battery and not sure where to go now...
