 I was reading your post and it brought a smile to my face ,when I saw the FREEWAY expression! We don,t have freeways here in chi we have expressway,s!!!

Around these here parts we either call it the interstate or the highway. No freeway or expressways around here i guess. :D

Round here we got parkways, highways, and of course, beltways, but no freeways or expressways. I can't stand any of them, and prefer a trail or my driveway!

My YJ seemed to have to be filled up every 12 gal until I modified the tank. Not an option on your rig, but maybe you could replace the tank. Won't save you any $ on gas, but at least there'll be less trips to the pump!

Shucks! If I modified the gas tank, Ide never be able to leave the bank! I have a 20 gallon tank, Shee*%# my motorhome gets better gas milagde than my JEEP!but it,s beginning to warm up a little and I am going to keep this JEEP, so,s I guess I,ll be working on it ........... :(

Hi everyone,
I have not been here in, I would guess about a year. I am now driving my wife’s '93 Cherokee Sport now that she has a new Saturn Ion.
We just did a motor vac on the Cherokee and the mileage is way up. I cannot tell you how much yet as I have not needed to put gas in it yet. I already have 300 miles on this tank and it just went under a 1/2 tank, and is still well above ¼ tank. I admit that I drive very conservatively and that helps. I have noticeably more power and it runs much smoother. Best $120 I have ever spent on a car. Hope this helps.

I filled up tonight for the first time after giving our Cherokee a Motor Vac.
The mileage is up from about 17mpg to 22mpg. my driving is a 50/50 mix of city and highway and my speedometer is about 10% off. Both numbers will be lower if corrected for the speedometer error, but the end results will still be a 5mpg gain.

I haven't been on here in a while. But it's been a year with my 99 GJC limited w/124k miles. I have had a couple eletrical problems, that I haven't gooten fixed yet. But my gas sucks. When I first got the Jeep I could fill up and get 365 miles to the gallon and now I barely crack 200 miles per gallon when I fill up - and it still says full and it still cost $30 bucks for a fill up. I recently got a basic tune up and thats when i noticed the problem. Also with this electrical problem. My heated seats don't work and neither does the heat indicator as to where the heat is going. Also my horn had to be disconnected because it kept going off while I was driving. I assume it had to do with the alarm. Any advise would help.

Let me know what you think, and I am also in the chicago area.

Wow! I wouldn't be complaining if could get 200 miles to the gallon. Sorry I couldn't resist.

Have a good time, sure someone can help.

ok my bad, I put the wrong thing but you know what I mean. I use to get 365 miles on a full tank and now I get 215 miles on a full tank. Help me out. I have no idea what's going on. And I don't want to get raped at the shop.
