yes, in your situation, i could see spending hte money but for me, a computer is just a play toy. the army provides my work computers and we are not allowed to take work home so my home stuff is just for internet browsing.

i am not active any longer but i do appreciate the thank you for serving. i am an army civilian so no more pt or anything like that. if the commander says go though, we fly out just like the active guys.

its funny, lots of people think that working civil service means you don't deploy or the gov can't make you do something but the oath of service i took as i civilian is the exact same one an active duty officer takes.

to me though, i am military no matter what. i represent the army no matter what clothing i wear because my pay check is paid with army money so i need to present a good image of the army and united states, no matter where i go or what i do. my service awards and coins all say united states army on them and none of them differentiate between civilians and active duty so as far as i am concerned, i am still a soldier.
