i'd say its mostly the price that scares the people away. and the small lift. i believe the kits are only 2 and 2 1/2" people figure why pay $900 for a 2 1/2" lift when you can spend half that and get a 4" kit from bds, skyjacker or anyone else.

Ohh yeah, without a doubt. i would go with black diamond. I've had their 3 " kit on my cj7 for quite a while. it gets trailed pretty hard sometimes and i've broken about everything but the suspension.

hey guys this is what i have. 83 cj7 258 t4 dana 300. what i want to do is go from the t4 to an auto trans and keep my dana 300. what trans do i need to do a direct bolt in.

I do em all the time. the easiest way i've found is burn out the bolt with a torch. if you dont have one then use an angle grinder with a cutoff wheel and cut the bolt on both sides between the track bar and the mount.

I just installed a 4" rough country lift on my buddies yj and yeah, its stiff. any leaf spring suspension lift is gonna be stiff at first. as long as you didn't tighten the suspension while the jeep was jacked up everything will be fine. just take it out and flex it a little bit, that helps...
